Lord love a duck!

If you recall about a month ago I bought a lime green duck and ever since have wanted to redecorate my house ... ok just my kitchen, to incorporate this duck. I tried taking a picture of it, but the digital camera couldnt focus on him (too shiny or something). So I did a little lookin' and found him online ... along with a few of his buddies that I might just have to purchase too.

So here's a link to my lime green duck... aint he cute! On his side it reads "New life springs eternal"

If you've got inexpensive redecorating ideas to include the duck let me know! Right now my kitchen walls are a shade of peach (and old fashioned color - can be repainted) and cabinets are a brown/red finished wood (and cannot be painted) Major appliances in the room are white. Maybe I should just take a picture of the kitchen haha.

Have at it creative people! ... because I'm not that creative ;)

I'm off to find a duck buddy ...

Have a lovely day!

p.s. the "Lord love a duck" is an expression I once heard from a college professor when startled

I LOVE your duck! It's wonderful! :-)

Unfortunately, I am NOT even remotely skilled at decorating, that's DH's job. I just smile and nod as he tells me how to decorate - haha!

The duck is super cute! The only decorating ideas I can think of is to find a border or wall paper that has a little mix of colors (one being the lime green that would go with your duck) and then painting the walls in the kitchen one of the colors from the border (or hey, if you feel like it, the lime green!). Then you can throw in finishing touches of other lime green objects or things in other colors from the border of wall paper. And if you can't find a border but find wall paper and don't really know how to incorporate it, you could do an accent wall with the wall paper or if you can cut a straight line, cut the wall paper and make your own border (my dad and step-mom did that in their living room). The white appliance will help neutralize the "bright" color of the lime green and I think the wood you described would look great with the color. Anyway, good luck and keep us posted on how the remodel goes! :p (Don't forget to take pictures so we all can see how it looks!)
