It's not an update, it's a ...predate?

I'm finally expecting a job offer! ... and I just got another rejection by email ... email? how professional *snort*. But let's focus on the good news here. I had an informal interview with the local John Deere dealer a couple weeks ago. Informal because I know the people and caught myself slouching in the chair 3 times! The man who seemed to be running the show was going on vacation the following week so I've paced back and forth and tried to keep my thoughts occupied on something else all last week. The day he gets back from vacation he called me and said "have you been hired by someone else yet? ...(no) ... good, we'd like to schedule a meeting with you." Which gave me the impression that an offer will be made ... I think I'm right. So the meeting is Monday morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my prayers continuous. This is what I've been wanting since high school, at least at the place I have wanted. It changed owners since then, but hopefully it will still be a good place to work. I've got nothing else waiting, no other applications out, I'm just really hoping this is it. Is it Monday yet???

To add to my list of "been there, done that" I drove a bulldozer!

It was really weird. The track, instead of wheels, feels really weird. I only drove it in a circle, I cant really say that I operated it, but it was still a neat experience. Brad and Dad both operated it. They were both grinning from ear to ear. I dont know what the fascination is with farm boys and bulldozers but it's something.

In other happenings we've also been invited to a small group in our church that starts next week. The youth pastor and his wife are opening their home to host a small group on Wednesday evenings. I'm really excited. I just need to get out of the house and off the farm more, to see and interact with people our age. The first study will be about parenting, I cant seem to get away from parenting studies suddenly! I have no kids! Just dogs! Brad most likely wont attend regularly, but I think I might just to build some relationships with other people. Who knows, maybe in a few months I'll be meeting a few girls for coffee. =)

My books came the other day! I ended up ordering Wife after God's own Heart from Amazon, along with the study guide for the book, and a ramdon Dave Ramsey Q&A money book. I think the study guide and corresponding book will be a great read while Mom and Dad are on vacation, Brad is at work, and the dogs are sleeping the day away. I'm really looking forward to digging in. After that one is read I've got a Ted Dekker book I'm dieing to read and a book called What God Wants to do for You, by the husband of the wife book (I'm bad with names). That one is about God's promises for strength, comfort, and so on.

Alright, I've got to get some work done.

Have a lovely weekend!

I'm so excited to read this post! I can't wait to hear what happens! I also hope the small group went well. That might be a great place for Brad to connect if things don't work out with the parenting class thing.
Hope you're having a good weekend!
