I'm
almost convinced to stick with VS bras (see previous post if you dont have a clue where this came from) . I do have their credit card, thanks for reminding me about the coupons Annie. If stores would just stop changing their clothes and "improving" their bras and jeans I would already know what I want! I agree with the pains of jeans shopping too, Angelarae! I would really love an awesome $10 bra though, that would just make my day. ;) Speaking of jeans ... switching to jeans ... I'll need more jeans for work.
What jeans do you love? I know it really depends on body type, and I can tell you that A&F jeans wont fit me, I have a butt and thighs ... A&F is also out of my price range. I like my Target jeans, but is it ok to have 6 identical pairs of jeans? Maybe not the exact same shade of demin, but close and of the same style? I dont know, I'm not a fashion person. And while we're talking fashion here... you all can be my personal shoppers/style consultants ... I need shirts for the first 45 days of work in November/December before the company will pay for my shirts, and who wants an entire wardrobe of nothing but JD shirts anyway. I'm looking for something casual nice ... not t-shirts, but not too dressy that jeans will look funky with it. I'm stuck on the idea of some sort of casual nice blazer thing with a few nice shirts that can rotate ... I need to build wardrobe around mix and match essentials. A nice sweater or two ... and some kind of sweater that can be layered over almost anything in a cool office. I really have an itch to go shopping, can you tell? ;) I'll meet you all at the mall on Friday! Coffee is on me. That would be so fun!
Ok ok, moving on ....
My little car is getting an oil change on Friday and while that's being done I'm meeting an old friend (who works at the Ford dealer/service place) for lunch. This is new news as of 5 minutes ago and I'm so excited! We used to work together while I was home over the summers from college. I'm really looking forward to catching up with her.
Saturday is my friend's wedding! I wrapped up her gift last night and it was so cute I just had to take pictures to share!

The gift includes a bundt pan (I think that's what it's called), a mixing bowl, hot pad, oven mitt, wodden spoon, spatula, recipe cards, and angel food mix and basket. I used black and red tissue paper because those are her kitchen colors. My mom warned me about using black, but it's not too much black is it? I can still change it if it's an absolute cannot do! The next pictures just shows how the finished presentation looks. I love making bows, and this one turned out super cute! I'm horribly embarrassed by what you can see in the background. What can I say, putting together gifts trumps waiting laundry. Sorry about that.
The wedding is a 3 hour drive one way, so it'll be a nice little day trip. We also drive directly by the college campus. I'm so excited to see it again, it's really strange. I thought I'd never want to go back, but I do. Unfortunately, Brad isnt at all interested in stopping and he's never even been there.

One more picture for the road. This is the bulldozer I drove, and the one Brad drove. He'd have my hide if he knew I posted this. ;) I think it's pretty cute.
That's all for now! Dont forget, I need personal shoppers! ;) So let me know where to go!
Have a lovely day!

Target Target Target Target Target....did I mention Target? lol, I always buy my jeans at Target because THEY.ARE.THE.ONLY.ONES.THAT.FIT. I too have been cursed with a butt. As far as shirts go....Target. Seriously! Just go to Mrs. M's blog......she is the Target clearance shopping queen!
Oh, there is so much to comment on this post!! Where do I start?
First of all, I love your new layout. That picture is great!! Is that a field you work on? I could deal with farm life for a few weeks, at least.
Secondly, I haven't bought jeans at Target in a while, but the ones I have in the past, I've always liked. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having multiple pairs of the same jean... nothing at all! Now, me personally, I love NY&Co - for all their clothes... and if they sold bras, I'd buy them there, just because, but I do like their jeans. I've got the boo-tay, and even their most modest jeans with the higher waist (but not up under your boobs) don't look like "mom jeans." They still give you shape, but they don't show your crack when you squat down... the tell-tale sign of too-small, too-low jeans.
I should probably head back to target, myself, as I only have 2 pair of NY&Co jeans that I am happy with currently.
You're welcome for the coupon/Angels card reminder. If not for that, I would not shop there much either. And same goes for NY&Co. They have great deals, like buy 1 get one half off on jeans a lot of the time, but you have to be patient and wait for them. They also have great cardholder coupons.
Sorry this comment was so long... I could do a post on this myself!
Hi RJ! I love NY&Co. jeans. THey're the only ones that are made for a woman with hips and a butt!
Whenever I can find a pair of jeans that fits me at looks great - I buy 2 pairs (becuase you'll never find it once you wear out the original ones!). I, too, have a butt and thighs, it sure makes jeans shopping a pain. We don't have Target here :-( *sniffle*
I love the wrapping of the wedding present, I don't think the black's a problem at all - especially since it matches her kitchen!
The wedding gift is adorable! You are so creative!!
Do you have a Kohl's where you live? They have great sales - like, every day and I find a lot of stuff there. Have fun shopping, it's my personal hobby of choice!
I've invited you to my blog - I'm sorry it took so long. I though I'd done it several weeks ago when you signed up for Aweseom Autumn.
And of course NY & Co - they rock!!
The gift is awesome and black is totally fine! Some weddings are black "nowadays" which isn't what our parents or grandparents would ever do.
I love target jeans! I also love gap jean, maybe you should try the curvy. I really like lucky jeans too but they are mega expensive! Mine were given to me and I wear them religiously. I'm sad for the day they fall apart.
About tops: try a couple of button downs. They are great mix and match peices. I wear them on their own, with a cami beneath and a bit open, rolled sleeves for warmer days, with a sweater and the collar, cuffs, and tail pulled out, with a sweater vest for a lighter look, with a blazer, with a cardigan, etc. I also really like them with a short sleeved sweater so the arms are out--super cute! Also go for some polos. I particuarly don't like polos on me but they look nice on other people and is great for a casual office environment.
